As we prepare to embark on our first year of corporate fasting and praying, it's important that we go into it ready, willing, prepared, and full of anticipation of experiencing God in mighty ways and believing Him for break throughs. Remember God isn't moved by our fasting, He is moved by our faith and passion to seek His face. The fasting helps us, strengthens us, and builds our spirit man while disciplining our flesh. Prayer releases the power of God into our lives and the lives of those around us. We want the power of the heavenly realm to move mightily in us and we want to see God's Kingdom in action in our lives, businesses, families, ministries etc.
During this fast, let God be our motive, hunger for Him, seek more knowledge of Him, and for spiritual understanding for every area of our lives. As we seek God's will and His way, we will find the answers to our situations, wants, and needs. We will pray with power, passion, and with pure hearts. Let go of all grudges, pain, unforgiveness, and give it to God so that you can be healed and your prayers will be full of light, for James 5:16 says, "Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!"
Many of us have battled with a lot these past 2 years especially whether sickness, death of loved ones, marital problems, family issues, financial struggles, emotional oppression, or quarrels that have disturbed our peace. Let's take the focus off ourselves, our lives and our situations and let's place our eyes on God, let's make a consciences decision to make Him our focus and everything else second. I believe by faith that we will begin to see things from God's perspective and it will in return alter our own perspectives, bringing much healing and peace in Jesus name. Let us come together on one accord praying for one another, touching and agreeing with one another with passion, tender hearts, and all faith amen.
